Hi Folks
It has been a few days since our summit now and there are a few aspects of summit day that are little blurry (depending on how much oxygen we were on at the time!). We continue to recall the sequence of events that occurred over the course of the 24 hour climb and more details come to light. We have to get started on the trek back to Kathmandu today (Sunday), but I plan in the 1st week of June to provide a bit more details for those of you that have followed along on this climb including reaching the South Summit and the realization of being able to reach the summit, the Hillary Step, how we saw the rescue dramas unfolding high on the summit, the descent in darkness down to C4, and the weary descent down to C3 the following day.
